WWCC Action for Neighbourhood Change

Action for Neighbourhood Change (ANC) - is a United Way of Toronto Funded program - designed to build and support a resident voice in underserved communities while also working with groups, agencies and institutions to make Victoria Village an even better place to live. The first two years from 2007 to 2009 focused on intensive research, outreach, engagement, and awareness-raising. The primary focus in 2010 is to support the development of the Community Round Table, which is a group of local residents working to make positive changes in their neighbourhood.

Eleven members have been meeting since March 2009, and have as their goal to increase their knowledge of the community, and to host events while building a strong resident voice. ANC will continue to work with other agencies and groups including City of Toronto departments, faith groups, agencies, and individuals to build on the assets and enhance service delivery and infrastructure in Victoria Village.
